Kehaulani Ridge – Lanikai, Oahu

The house is great! Each bedroom has its own bathroom in the main house and the views are beyond incredible! The kitchen is well stocked, there are great sand toys, a wagon, life jackets, and boogie boards. A few things that aren’t explicit in the listing that could be challenging: there are about 40 stairs to get in the front door and there is no rail in some parts. It worked okay for us, but was a little tough on my 80 year old father. One of the bedrooms is also outside of the house in its own building and doesn’t have a bathroom-we didn’t need to use that bedroom, so wasn’t a problem, but it could be uncomfortable to navigate getting from there into the main house if you needed to use the bathroom in the night. Overall, it was a fantastic stay for us and we would return in a heartbeat!

What a beautiful place! Large rooms, huge deck with multiple lounging areas. The place was fantastic! Everything we needed.

The house was lovely, and we had a wonderful stay. The house was very spacious and comfortable. It exceeded expectations. The private end of Lanikai is the place to be.

We rented this large home for 3 couples and a baby for the month of September. Overall, the layout of the house is ideal for larger groups. I was able to work in the backyard cottage, which was convenient. The property manager was responsive to our needs and the home was clean. The view is spectacular.

On the downside, the home is a bit dated, and the fixtures are showing their age. Also the constant noise of a large home being built directly behind the house interrupted the peaceful vibe we were going for. Fortunately the noise stopped at nightfall, so it didn't keep us up.

We spent an amazing holiday at kahaulani ridge. The house was perfect for our family of 5. The views are stunning and everything is set up beautifully . Steven and the rest of the property management team were very responsive to any question we had. We would definitely come back again.

The Villa is beautiful and the kitchen has all the amenities for cooking and storing food. The views are spectacular. Minor inconveniences are the Flat screen TV clarity is not optimal, toilets need updating, and. old fashion alarm system.

Everything was fantastic. We loved this house and the openness with the ocean breezes and wonderful refreshing rains. We enjoyed a very restful family vacation. We had plenty of activities as we explored Oahu. If you don't want the crowds and a way to enjoy the beauty of Oahu, consider this home.

Upon arriving we discovered a wonderful surprise, which I won't spoil by sharing it, but I will say it was scrumptious! One of the best memories of this home will be of waking up at dawn in the master bedroom king bed (which was very comfortable with down pillows and quality linens), to the most amazing skyline and sunrises!
I think we spent most of our time on the spacious multi-level decks enjoying the fabulous views.
The home was perfect for our family with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths, which included a separate little ohana where our youngest son who is single could retreat from his nephew and 3 nieces when he needed to. Another feature we loved about the home is the chef's kitchen, which worked out well for the chefs we hired to prepare a wonderful meal for our family- A highlight of our vacation that was well worth the cost. Our favorite beach was Lanikai, just down the hill from the home- Our favorite beach access 7, was a 10 min. walk or short drive, which we often chose to do so we could load up all of our beach toys and kids so we could park closer to the beach (The garage offered plenty of space for all our beach toys). Another feature we loved was the sound of flowing water heard throughout the home from the beautiful water fall and pond off the main living area. We will treasure the memories of our stay at the Kahaulani Ridge Home!

This home is lovely! great location nice and quiet and close to the beach. The house is well equipped with all the things you might need. There’s a lovely breeze all the time so it cools down the house nicely.
The only cons are the outdoor lights didnt switch off and there isn’t full black out curtains in the bedrooms. the sprinklers system are so loud at night so kept us up a bit! There’s not much phone reception in that area, which isn’t necessarily bad!
But over all it’s a great home and I’d stay there again for sure.

The management team, especially Mitchell, were great. We stayed at the home for six weeks and enjoyed the location, felt like home.

We traveled as an entire family with our
adult children and grandchildren, and couldn't have been happier!

The area is quiet, upscale and safe. All of the beds and pillows were super comfortable. The four bathrooms all had great showers. The entire house was beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped and had modern appliances. The house offered a great gas Weber Grill with two propane tanks, two coolers, plenty of beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, a nice stroller and lots of beach toys for the kiddos.

The setting was peaceful & beautiful in a charming authentic Hawaiian setting, surrounded by beautiful landscapes that were full of bright colors and designed to give a private feel of not having having any houses to the sides or behind the house.

Lanikai Beach access #7 was 9/10's of a mile and very walk able (we had a beach wagon which helped getting all of our stuff to and from the beach) and Kailua Beach was just a short drive.

We rented kayaks in Kailua and launched them at access #11 to the Mokes on a calm day.

A shout out to Vickie, Steven and Mitchel for making this all happen. Honestly, this vacation house was a bit outside of our budget, but we would do it again in a heartbeat!

This house was absolutely incredible. The views are stunning. And to top it all off the hospitality was some of the best I’ve ever seen. They were so accommodating and checked in on you periodically, via text, to make sure you didn’t need anything.

This residence is exactly as pictured and was a wonderful experience. Work took us to Kailua for a month and this was a perfect home for my entire team to come home to every night after a long hard day. We would enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony that overlooks the Mok Islands which couldn't be more stunning. I miss this view every day! It's one of the best I've ever seen. The management of the property was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our family of 8 rented this house for seven days, next time we will stay ten days. The house is awesome. It felt like our 2nd home, very comfortable. Ocean view from every room. Plenty of room for the kids. Perfect location. Short walk to the beach. Close to the Pill Box hiking trail and bike lane through Lanikai. Incredibly well stocked with high quality products and furnishings. Love the kitchen. Steven and Jeremy from Private Homes Hawaii are so easy to work with. We are already planning a return in 2017, either August or again at Christmas. Absolutely no complaints, except a longer stay next time. Best house and view in Lanikai. We would strongly recommend this home to anyone wishing for a luxurious stay in Lanikai. Mele Kalikimaka
