8 nights in Paradise. The house was perfect, 20 years from what felt like a nearly private beach. It was well appointed. Tons of delivery service made our stay easy. Alia is an excellent property manager!

What mroe could you ask for? Nothing! This rental has EVERYTHING. Literally everything you could possibly need or want. The views - breath taking, the beach - perfection. The bedrooms - gorgeous. The Kitchen - perfection. We even had a private chef come in and she was IMPRESSED. Kid frienly, tons of room, CLEAN, nothing was broken, private, outddor space, indoor space was exceptional. Parking was perfect. The enighbors, super friendly. All in all a wonderful stay.

The house was great, and the beach access phenomenal. We had a family group of 11 and this was the perfect location.

This lovely property is extremely well located, and the beach frontage is awesome. The home is very well equipped, has a perfect layout and is well appointed to the smallest detail. The staff were highly professional, timely and thorough in their communication, and very warm and friendly. We arrived to a spotless property, and the cleaning staff were very warm and professional as well. All told, this was a phenomenal experience!!

This was the perfect spot for our family group. Amazing location, nicely designed spaces, well equipped kitchen. We took our coffee to the beach to watch the sunrise each morning. Great location for kids - easy to go back and forth to the house for supplies and for naps. We grilled each night. Loved that AC was not central, as we like to invite the Hawaiian breezes in. People could keep their bedrooms cool at night with AC or with fans. Super clean on arrival and very helpful property manager. We’ll be back!

This home is right off the beach. I was looking for a house to rent for a family vacation. This 5 bedroom house was the perfect size for our family. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom.(I personally hate to share bathrooms) Each bedroom had an AC unit so the night temperature was very comfortable. The house is spacious enough for everyone to have a place to sit down and relax. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, plates, glasses, etc. You can relax outdoors on the patios or walk a few feet beyond the backyard and relax on the beach. Property management had very good communication with us and responded quickly with any questions I had for them. Only note to keep in mind: There is no AC in the main portion of the house, just fans (ceiling and floor). We were there in January so outside temperature was in the 70s.

This home was perfect for our family of 9. The house had everything you could want or need, from the Kitchen to beach wants and needs. 2 washer and dryers-we couldn't imagine needed them, but we were surprised on how much we used. Kitchen had everything you could need or want to cook a full meal or enjoy a snack. Extra fridges to take care of the family. Beautiful sunrise enjoyed each morning. Perfect for morning walks on the beach. Beds super comfy - lots of room to spread out in the family areas. Our family enjoyed this home and you should too.

With our clan of 11 which includes 5 grandsons this house is perfect of us. With its 5 bedrooms, each with its own full bath, family room, well stocked kitchen, indoor and outdoor eating areas, our awesome beach for the backyard and the athletic club a few doors down with a pool and basketball court, we couldn't ask for more. This is our 3rd time staying here. We did have some property issues but the customer service for any issues that arose was exceptional!!! Thank you, Lisa and Alia!!!

This place was amazing! Direct access to the beach, literally it is the back yard. The breathtaking view from the upstairs bedroom made me never want to leave bed in the morning! There is a pool but you are so close to the beach I didn’t go but my family did and the pool is great too!

The pictures don't do it justice--this house is really spectacular. Most ideal setting with the beach, pool, and pickle ball courts just steps away, and so much space in the home that has beautiful furniture. Our combined families loved it! Everyone had comfortable bedrooms, really nice to have extra fridg/freezers, and double washing machines was great, too. Alia and Patty were excellent to work with and the house was spotless when we arrived. Definitely recommend!

From the snorkeling gear to the kitchen stocked with all manner of utensils and appliances and everything in between, this home was perfect for our party of 14 that ranged in age from 1 to 70. Outstanding communication and customer service from the property manager.

We rented the place for a 5 couple retreat to celebrate our 40th birthdays. It had everything we could have asked for and was perfect for us! We really enjoyed being away from the main Waikiki area and would visit again.

The location was fabulous! It was a great space to spend a wonderful week celebrating several birthdays. Beds were very comfy and the space worked great for all of us.

The house was just what we needed as we took our adult children and their spouses. It is just steps away from the beach, and in a quieter part of Hawaii. The house has everything you would need.

This classic home has such a well thought-out floor plan. Each of the five well-furnished bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom. The guest bedroom on the second floor was a personal favorite: opening the balcony door and the windows brought in the fresh sea breeze. The well-provisioned kitchen has a layout that made food preparation efficient. The home is conveniently located and is a few minutes' drive to restaurants, Foodland, Whole Foods, and Safeway for any items that might have been missed. There are many places within the property that guests may choose to be in a group or be by themselves. The home truly provides a wonderful way to experience Kailua.

We totally enjoyed our stay! It was our second time and we have already booked it again for next year. You are minutes always from shops, restaurants, snorkeling, and golf courses, yet have the serenity of being on a private drive. All 5 bedrooms have their own bath and the floor plan is great for large groups. We had 11 of us. The beach is fantastic and just steps away. The club, just a few houses down, was great for the kids for a change of pace with a pool, basketball court and pickle ball. We did have a few minor issues with the house and Alia and her team were on it immediately and couldn’t do enough to make everything right!

We chose Place in Paradise for a family vacation to bring our children and grandchildren together from Maryland and California. The house did not disappoint! It was so spacious and we loved being right on the beach. The views were spectacular and the sunrises were gorgeous! We had a wonderful time together with meals around the dining room table as well as lots of beach time. The house is extremely well equipped. We all hated to leave at the end of the week & would definitely consider a return visit. Mahalo!

Located on a private quiet street, my family and I were so very lucky to find this wonderful property. You could not ask for anything more. We were within steps of the beach. The balconies and the view from the grounds were calming and delightful. And then there was ready access to a pool and athletic courts.
There was a large kitchen with an ample sized dining room, two living spaces, and bedrooms with baths to accommodate all twelve of us.
The bedding and blankets were wonderful. There were more than enough towels for our use as well as for the beach.
The outside was well kept and fully furnished with several different areas to sit, relax, and have a meal.
Restaurants and grocery stores were just minutes away and made meal preparation very easy.
The management team was attentive and provided all the information we needed well in advance of our stay. I give this property a five-star rating and intend to make a second trip happen very soon.

Our family of 10, including grandkids and grandparents, absolutely loved our week here. The layout of the house worked great for us. We enjoyed walking the beach every day. Our favorite was eating on the patio outside and hearing the ocean. Alia was fantastic to work with whenever we had a question or minor issue. Also-we had an awesome experience with a local private chef who ended up coming to the rental and making meals for us while we were there. I can't recommend him enough. So affordable and friendly. This house absolutely wonderful! We had 10 in our group and it gave us plenty of room and privacy! Everything was clean and well equipped. The views are stunning and you literally are steps from the ocean! I could not be more pleased!! Highly recommend! Absolutely worth the money!!

We had 10 family members to celebrate a graduation on the island and could not have been more pleased with the space, privacy of the five bedrooms giving everyone their own space and vast amount of beautiful get-together spaces. Gourmet kitchen was fully stocked for amazing family dinners every night, easily saved us $300 each meal. Interior design and finishes very high end, luxury hotel quality. Staff was available 24/7 for anything but frankly nothing needed. Abundant beach towels and beach chairs and toys all the including boogie boards, surf boards, floatation toys, sunscreen bug spray, aloe-- nothing was left out for a luxurious, comfortable stay right on the shores of Kailua beach. Best memory, falling to sleep and waking to the sight and sounds of the gentle waves just a few yards away!

Absolutely loved our stay at this home. Very comfortable, very convenient, very private. The morning sunrises were spectacular, friendly community, short drives to all the really good hiking, kayak, snorkeling, dining, etc. Lots of inside and outside space. Alia and her team were most gracious and attentive leading up to and throughout our stay. If we returned to the area, we would certainly return to this home.

This was our second time at Place in Paradise. Our multigenerational family truly loves the house and location. The layout allows each family to have their own space and we gather every evening for family dinner at the large dining room table. It provides easy access to the beach and all the equipment is available to use. We played pickle ball and used the pool some but mostly enjoyed the beach and the waves. Although it was windier than usual, we walked the beach and rode the waves everyday. Alia and Lisa took care of all our needs quickly. We would love to come back again!

We had 8 women celebrating our 60th birthdays together. Even though the weather wasn't perfect, we got to enjoy the ocean because the view from the living and dining room was panoramic up and down the beach. There were so many gathering places and we connected and enjoyed each other in all of them!

The house is wonderful with enough space for large gamily gatherings and comes with great access to an awesome beach.

Beautiful location well maintain property, the primary kitchen refrigerator was not working properly and reeked of rotten fish and therefore was unusable. Due to recent storm and flooding the shore water was contaminated and brown the entire week we were there. Otherwise everything else was as advertised.

The house was beautiful, the area is fantastic. We spend many mornings on the beach and body surfing. The house is well equipped for just about everything you could need. The 2 sets of washer/dryers were a pleasant surprise.

We had a wonderful stay in this amazing home on the ocean in Kailua! The house met all our needs and had plenty of space for our group of 8. Each bedroom was very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and the beach absolutely perfect! The property management was great to work with- sent emails in advance of our stay with all the information we needed and communicated with us while we were there too. We couldn't have had a better time!

Place in Paradise amenities were perfect. Beautiful furnishings, well appointed kitchen, spacious floor plan, beach supplies, games and books, air conditioning in bedrooms, fans everywhere to supplement the ocean breezes. Multi areas of outdoor seating and dining. Lawn for bocce ball. And most importantly-- the proximity to the beach is amazing!

Great house, great location, don't hesitate to stay here. Steven, the manager, is attentive and responsive and the house was clean, well stocked and large enough to fit three families without feeling cramped at all. And just steps to the beach!

Our house was an absolute dream!! The views from anywhere in the house were amazing! Being steps from the beach was amazing!!! The furniture and beds were welcoming and comfortable! This is truly a luxury home! The home was very well maintained and clean! Having a well stocked home with plastic wrap, foil, seasonings, laundry detergent, a welcome book full of suggestions, and beach equipment was much appreciated! We will be back to this house and Kailua!!!

Our family came and found a beautiful home located in and idea setting for adults and our grand children. We loved our week in Paradise. Highly recommend this house. We love to cook and the kitchen had everything one could possibly need. We would come back every year if we could. M

We all loved our stay at this wonderful beach house in Kailua. Location was outstanding- right on the beach. We watched the sun come up every morning from our bed. Everything we needed was here for the beach- boogie boards, beach chairs, fishing poles, plenty of beach towels, sand toys. Also lots of places to hang out outside and eat. Kitchen was well equipped, lots of cooking gear and serving platters, oils and good spices, 2 ovens, rice cooker and waffle maker. We even made a prime rib dinner while we were there, cooked breakfast almost every day. We had an issue with the air conditioner in the smaller master and they came in the next day and installed a new one while we were out. Amazing customer service. Another perk was that there were 2 washer snd dryers and lots of laundry detergent and dryer sheets as well as good bath products. We would stay here in a heartbeat if the place is available. We always stay in Kailua when we come to Oahu and have stayed at many places and this was by far one of the nicest. Great attention to details! Wonderful place.

Awesome house with all the amenities and in the perfect location. Very quiet neighborhood with NO traffic. Plenty of toys, chairs, etc for the ocean, you do not need to bring anything except for yourself/family. The layout of the house is perfect with the two master suites on the second floor. Within minutes of everything you need.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first stay at this beautiful house. The 11 of us (our children and grandchildren) loved the location allowing us to go back and forth to the beach easily. Everything for the beach is provided as stated in other reviews. We ate all our meals at the house with everyone around the big table for wonderful conversations.
Any issues were promptly taken care of by Steven and Patty. The layout of the home allowed each family to have their space and other areas to gather together. We truly loved our stay at Place in Paradise and would love to return again.

Our multigeneration family of 11 experienced the vacation of a lifetime at this perfect beach front rental. The house accommodated our large group wonderfully, with everyone having a private space and plenty of bathrooms. We could have a family meal at the same table and all sit together while enjoying the most beautiful view of the beach. Sun rises were stunning! We stepped out the door to the spectacular beach that was never crowded. Our grandkids enjoyed using the boogie boards provided and the adults also took advantage of the snorkeling equipment. The beach was safe for even the youngest in the family and we enjoyed it each and every day. You can't beat the location, as it was quiet, yet convenient to get to almost anywhere on the island. Steven was very responsive to any question or need that we had, from the time we booked the house, to the time we left. Great family memories were made at this special Place in Paradise!

We returned to Hawaii with our 3 grown children who were all born in Hawaii, along with their families.
From ages 18 months to 64, the accommodations were well suited for everyone. Enough room to spread out for quiet time and many areas to gather as a family.
The house is kept in tip top shape and is well appointed with all the little extras. Beach toys for the little ones, surf boards, boogie boards, swim vests and beach chairs! This trip was two years in the making due to Covid and family matters. We also returned my fathers ashes to Hawaii to be with my mother. This home provided our family with the perfect spot to enjoy Hawaii at it's finest!
Truly a Place in Paradise!

The location of this home can't be beat! The house is beautiful and well-maintained. The management company was always quick to respond and very helpful during our stay and even beforehand when we were planning our trip.

We are a family of 14 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It is large and spacious so we all enjoyed being under one roof but also had room to be "alone" when needed. There are sufficient beach items such as surfboards, fins and goggles, etc. for active teenagers and adults. We even had front row viewing of the Kailua Beach fireworks on July 4th! The grill used that day was a top quality one so we had a feast. The landscaping and interior are also beautifully done. It is truly a lovely place for a family reunion.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Place in Paradise. The home was everything we had hoped for. Great location, just 70 steps from the beach. The home was clean and very well furnished. Plenty of equipment for water activities, and board games and books to read in the house. The kitchen was very well equipped with dishes and cooking utensiles. Wonderful stay and a great host. All our needs and expectations were met!

Absolutely incredible location on the beach in a spacious, well designed (inside and out) and super well stocked house. Our family of 11 (ages 86-9) fit
perfectly and were super comfortable. The pool and pickle ball court a few houses down at the private club came in handy when the jelly fish were invading the beach. Also great pick up and eating out places close by. One of our favorites was Tamuras for poke on furikaka shrimp chips!

This is a fabulous beachfront home for the whole family. We stayed with a group of 12 ranging in ages from 8-71 years. It is on a quiet beachfront area that is frequented mostly by locals, so it was very family friendly and good area of the beach for playing in the waves, boogie boarding, paddle boarding and learning to surf. The home is clean, nicely kept and kitchen is well stocked. A lovely stocked gift basket was there at our arrival. Beds were comfortable and linens were nice quality. We got lots of enjoyment from the body boards and beach chairs that are provided. For a group our size the 2 sets of washer/dryers were very helpful. The management company was very responsive and good about notifying us about things. The home had WIFI, but it was not good. We all ended up turning off WIFI and using data. There were plenty of restaurant and shopping options within a 10 min drive and it was only 30 mins to Honolulu, the airport, and 45 mins - hour from North Shore, Polynesian Cultural Center and Haleiwa. This home is on the windward side and can often be pretty breezy, but this side of the island is also more green and lush. The only major drawback was that we visited during a very rainy spell and the home's location is in the bay area, which traps in the run off from the city making the water very brown, polluted and unsuitable for use, which affected use for days. We could still enjoy walking/playing on the beach, but couldn't get in the water. Helpful tip for those staying with young children - we went and purchased paper cups/plates/bowls - there were no plastic or kid friendly items available. Overall, we would definitely stay at this "place in paradise" again and are so thankful for the memories it gave us.

We stayed in early February with an extended family group of 7 adults and 2 small children. This house is truly wonderful, as the other reviews state. The beach is literally your backyard, but there is still privacy and so many places to relax and enjoy the scenery. Kailua beach is not as crowded as other great beaches on Oahu especially on weekdays, and we spent a great deal of time there. The house comes with an amazing array of items that contribute to a wonderful vacation. There is an extra refrigerator in the garage, we used it for drinks, and in the dining room there is a bar with an ice-maker (much appreciated). The kitchen is extraordinarily well-equipped. Due to COVID we cooked most of our meals there and even did some baking--everything we needed was there. And the glasses, dishes and silverware were sufficient for all of us including a separate set that was plastic for outdoors. The only item we lacked was reusable shopping bags--that would be a nice addition. There are so many beach toys for children and adults, all much appreciated. We rented a collapsable canvas wagon and that was very helpful to haul things back and forth to the beach. There was a PaknPlay for our toddler (we rented one so it would have been nice to know it was there). The outdoor table that seats 14 was perfect for COVID spacing, we ate most of our meals there. The beds were all very comfortable. Some of the BR AC units were a little noisy, but we hardly used them, and didn't need them for sleeping with the cool nights in February. Finally, the Private Homes Hawaii people were all great--responsive and attentive. All in all a wonderful vacation, we will definitely be back.

Stunning. This property is incredible...it went beyond our expectations, was spacious inside and out and is well kept. The view and location are without peer and Kailua Beach is the best beach on the Island. Access to the beach was mere steps away, but the architecture & landscape still afforded privacy without the feeling of being enclosed within a compound. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors were very friendly. The list of accessories and quantities provided are too numerous to list (beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, umbrellas, kitchen utensils, ice maker, two refrigerators, 2 sets of washers & dryers, etc., etc...). If it wasn’t available, we didn’t need it. The property management team (Steven, Kim, Patty) were great to work with and were quick with responses to our questions. The team is very attentive to every detail... We were even greeted with a basket of food & wine upon our arrival. Our family of 9 stayed for 10 days and we are already plotting our return to this beautiful home. This is a Place in Paradise.

We had nine adults and three children and would highly recommend this house. Here is why we loved it:

- Pool and tennis courts were a quick two min walk from the house; kids loved it
- House was well stocked with towels, kitchen supplies, and games/children’s books by (spices were a little limited but kitchen had everything else you’d need)
- Second fridge in the garage, Vitamix and industrial ice maker made for fun tropical drinks
- Two sets of washer/dryers
- House was right on a perfect beach for sand castles, walking, swimming, surfing, boogie boarding
- We saw whales from the beach
- Garage came FULLY stocked with beach chairs, some snorkeling equipment, two fishing poles, tons of kids beach toys, tennis rackets, coolers, life jackets, beach umbrellas
- We enjoyed making dinner on the grill and eating on the patio
- The street the house was on, was for residents only; this allowed our kiddos to bike and walk safely
- House was super close to cute Kailua town (Whole Foods, target, Safeway, and lots of local restaurants)
- Bike path to beaches was just a block up from the house
- Beds were super comfy; good quality pillows and sheets
- Proximity to hiking, Waikiki, lainkai, waimnolo was easy

All said, we’d definitely stay here again. It was incredible and the thoughtfulness of the house and hosts (Ie we arrived to tropical music in the house and a gorgeous welcome basket full of local treats) far exceeded expectations.

Our family of 7 adults and 7 children spent a week at this home in July 2022. It was pretty close to perfect for our group. If is about 100 yards from a lovely and uncrowded white sand beach. At least at this time of year, the water is warm and the waves are gentle, which was perfect for the children in our group. The house is well-equipped with beach gear, and the views (especially from the upstairs bedrooms) are remarkable. We liked that location. It's close to Honolulu, Pearl Harbor, etc. And drive up to Laie (less than an hour) and go the Polynesian Cultural Center, which was a real highlight. That's enough. We had a marvelous time. We hope to come back again some day.

Grandparents, parents and children rented this house for a family vacation. The house had everything for all our needs - games, boogie boards and plenty of puzzles. The location is right on the beach and we enoyed many swims and beach strolls with the little ones.

A truly dreamy stay on what very well may be the most beautiful beach anywhere. We were walking out the door and taking sunrise dips and moonrise swims. The house is so spacious and accommodates a large family so easily. The kitchen is well equipped and there’s lots of fun beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and toys galore. We had the best time.

Wonderful experience over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house, setting and ambiance of Kailua created the foundation for a memorable family experience. Mahalo

Place of Paradise at 824 N Kalaheo Ave in nothing short of a real Paradise. We were there for a week and its has to be one of the best place on earth we have ever lay our eyes on, the house was perfect with majestic view of Oneawa beach, Kailua Bay in every room, the beach are stone throw away from the house, which has the crystal clear water and perfect wave for short board and surfing which the house provide all the necessity for a day of fun on the beach. Even tho the house is far from downtown Wikiki but the house provide one of the most equip kitchen I have ever seen from a grain of salt right down to a rice cooker! With a bonus bartending area with fully equip cocktails equipment to an ice maker machine, with all said and done it is a must visit and stay place in Honolulu, Hawaii. Would definitely recommend any one that will come and stay at Place in Paradise from all the pieces of my heart, you will have the best time of your life ever! Mahalo!!!

Great location. Easy drive to Honolulu. Clean, very chill, not to busy beach. Sunrise straight across from the condo. Well appointed home. 4 stars for one of the ACs not working, the manager did immediately bring in an in-room AC, though those are noisy and don’t cool as well.

My family and I had such an amazing time together at this beautiful beach home. From checking in the first day to checking out everything was great. Management was very professional, helpful and nice. We felt so welcomed when first arriving with a very sweet welcome basket with amazing snacks and yummy local fruit! The layout of the home and rooms worked perfectly for our family where everyone had their own private and bathroom. The home was very clean when we arrived. One of the great perks of this home is that each room has an air conditioner which is very rare in a beach home! The home is literally steps from the beach where we would take long walks often to throughout the day! The dining table was perfect which allowed us as a large family to spend many meals together eating, laughing and just enjoying each others company. The home is is also very kid friendly and since we went around the holidays we were pleasantly surprised with a gorgeous Christmas tree in the living room which made the home even more homier and festive! We highly recommend this home and will definitely look forward to hopefully come back!

We had 11 family members for a week at this lovely home. The beach access is second to none. The house is stocked with everything you could need; plenty of towels and linens. ALL kitchen and bar utensils... lots of games and puzzles. It was wonderful.

Fantastic location! It was like having our own private beach! The house was perfect for our large group. The bread pudding Steven made for us was delicious! It was great working with Steven and Mitchel, both before and during our stay. The house is beautifully furnished, with amazing views. Plenty of grassy areas for the kids to play. There were large indoor and outdoor dining areas where we were all able to eat meals together. It had everything you could possibly want - plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, beach towels, etc. The kitchen had everything you could think of -- and more. We all had a wonderful time!

This home was perfect to accommodate our extended family of 11. We all had our own room with our own bathrooms which is very handy when sharing a home with so many. All needs were catered for, more than enough Towels, Chairs,Cutlery,Plates everything had been thought of. Highly recommend this home if you are travelling with a big group.

Our family of 12 enjoyed a wonderful vacation at Place in Paradise. The home is beautiful and accommodated all of our needs perfectly. The gorgeous Kialulu beach being just steps away was fabulous for all of our family, powdery white sands and beautiful turquoise waters made the vacation even better. It was hard to leave! Steven’s famous bread pudding and white chocolate sauce was Devine and appreciated by all. Mitchell was very helpful as well.

Our family has been doing a Kailua Beach vacation for the last three years. It is the perfect location. The Management Company is truly the best. Everything is always perfection. This is a beautiful property with direct access to the beautiful Kailua beach. What's not to love. The garage was filled with everything you might need for the beach. It was another lovely week on Kailua Beach.

We are frequent guests at Place In Paradise and thoroughly enjoy having the house full of family and friends. This is a great house to do that in. Lot's of room to be together and also to slip off in a corner somewhere with a good book. Kitchen is very well equipped as well as garage, for beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, etc. Steven is welcoming and Jeremy is accommodating.

Wonderfully located home on beautiful Kailua beach. Spacious for a large family with several hang-out areas and wonderful outdoor space. All the beach amenities you could wish for were provided (boogie boards, chairs, sand toys). This side of the beach was a bit windy, so perfect for boogie boarding and body surfing, but not ideal for paddle boarding, kayak,etc. Property management was very responsive and helpful to any inquiries. Highly recommend this lovely home in Kailua.

Place in Paradise was a perfect home for a extended family vacation. The location right on the beach was amazing. The home was spacious and well appointed. Private Home Hawaii was a great company to rent from and provided a well stocked house.

We have now stayed at “A Place In Paradise” five times, lastly for 31 nights. It is perfect for a family group visit, or a private hide away for two. Perfectly located at the quiet end of Kailua Beach with the trade winds blowing in from the beach onto a private lanai. A perfect spot for a snooze in the afternoon!

We were a group of 14, 8 adults/6 children. The home catered perfectly to our needs. It was stocked with everything one would need in a kitchen, had masses of beach towels and all the beach and pool equipment you could want. |Outdoor areas beautiful. Games/books for the children were great. Nearby pool was used all the time. Home is right on the beach but weather was quite windy so pool was perfect. Steven's communication if I needed anything was immediate and he could not do enough for us. Amazing pie awaited our arrival! Kailua and nearby Lanikai are fantastic areas.

I think I speak for all 9 members of my family when I say we had an absolute terrific time in this lovely spot at a devine location on a splendid cove.

We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with family and found the house to be exactly as pictured on the website. Great location with direct beach access and plenty of room for nine people. Kitchen cabinets could use a refresh, but didn't distract from overall condition and functionality of the house. Staff was available and responsive throughout the rental process. If you need space for multiple guests and enjoy being a few steps from a great beach, this is the house for you.

Our stay couldn't have been more perfect!! Steven took such good care of us in every way!!The house fits our family to a "T"!! It is always clean, well equipped from kitchen to beach fun to bathroom needs to beautiful furnishings!! The location couldn't be better!!! It will be the same house for us next time!!!

The house was great and the beach (as always) was great

we spent a week at this wonderful home and it could not have been better: location, right on a perfect beach, spacious home, clean and well prepared for guests with beach toys, games in the home and televisions for those who could not miss a sporting event. Near to good restaurants and places to get surf lessons, rent bicycles and surf boards. If we are fortunate enough to return to Hawaii again with our large family, this property will be at the op of our list of places to stay.

We selected Place in Paradise for our family of ten adults. We gathered in Hawaii from across the country to reconnect and spend quality time together. We were looking for a beachfront home with multiple gathering spaces, a large kitchen and dining room, and en-suite bathrooms for each bedroom. Place in Paradise was perfect for us! We appreciated the responsive team at Private Homes Hawaii from the time we booked a year in advance, to the communication and information provided before and during our stay. Steven and Mitchell met us at the house for check in and familiarized us with the features and details of the home. They also presented us with the most delicious dessert to share - a specialty not to be missed! The house is beautifully appointed and filled with light. It provided plenty of storage for all of our luggage and groceries, and had thoughtful touches throughout. We appreciated the large selection of beach equipment, including umbrellas, beach mats, boogie boards and sand toys, as well as the outdoor shower. The kitchen was well outfitted for anything you might wish to cook. The ice machine and Vitamix were essential for so many delicious tropical smoothies, acai bowls, and frozen drinks. We cooked most of our meals together, and appreciated the close proximity to Foodland and Whole Foods. Some of the best shave ice on the island is also nearby at Island Snow in Kailua Town. We also stocked up on local produce at the farmer's market! The beds were so comfortable with super-soft linens and lots of down pillows. Each bedroom has A/C, which we used at night. During the day, the tradewinds kept the house comfortable as we opened the windows and doors to the absolutely breathtaking views of Kailua Beach and the hypnotic sound of the surf. The beach is literally steps away from the back door and we spent a lot of time there. From sunrise walks, to boogie boarding marathon sessions, to dinner as the sun set, we soaked it in! We loved it!

We stayed at Place in Paradise over July 4th Week for a Family reunion. Could not have picked a better location !. Have stayed at many VRBOs in Kailua and this is one of the best. The house was large enough so that 12 people were very comfortable. Could walk right out the door to Kailua Beach . There is a community pool with tennis courts just a short stroll from the house, but who needs a pool when you have Kailua Beach at your doorstep. The house was well equipped with boogie boards, beach toys for kids, beach chairs. Located on a quite cut de sac so never was crowded. The kitchen had 2 rice cookers (definitely a plus for my family). Could not have picked a better location. My 16 year old son caught several fish right next to the house, 2 Oio (bonefish) and 2 papio (juvenile jack) . Walking distance to "Nicks" with some great poke...grocery store less than a mile Away. Amazing stay can't wait to come back

We had the best time! The house was perfect for our large group. It was clean and well kept and spacious. We loved being able to walk right down the short path to the beach. Also appreciated how well stocked the home was with beach chairs and beach items. Would love to come back!!

We have made this PLACE IN PARADISE a yearly tradition (for many years) and plan to continue doing so- for our son's birthday. We invite several guests and everyone has room to be together and also room for some solitude. Steven and Jeremy have made lots of nice upgrades and continue to do so, keeping in mind that being ocean front (elements) are harsh on everything. The house is very clean and they have thought of simply everything that you could possibly need, to enjoy time at a BEACH HOUSE. We have recommended to friends and will continue to do so. RAVE REVIEWS! The photos are not deceiving- house looks exactly as pictured; lovely!

We absolutely loved vacationing at this amazing house. Everything we could have ever thought to have in a beach house was included. They thought of everything. Examples beach chairs, inflatables, toys for beach, umbrellas for rain and beach, the list goes on and on! The house was perfect ! We enjoyed every minute being there ! We can’t wait to go back.

The location was excellent and the place was just as described. The guys showed us around and then left us to enjoy our week. Made heavy use of the grill and the outdoor furniture. Beds were very comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here!!!

Place in Paradise was perfect for us. The ocean views are spectaular and the beach is practically at your door. It was nice not to load the car with beach gear and drive somewhere. There was an abundance of beach toys and equipment. The house is very well appointed with upscale furniture and accessories and linens. The Kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for cooking and serving.

We had a wonderful time. The location was great. The beach was wonderful. The waves worked for my older grandkids (surfing and boogie boarding) as well as the smaller ones (the waves we not too big for the 3 year old). The beds were comfortable, the amenities were great and the kitchen had everything we needed. There were even fishing rods and beach chairs and beach toys. We fished almost every morning and even some evenings. A visit to the local fishing store gave us advice. We caught many fish. That was a real plus for the grandkids. I would come back.

The house was awesome. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and the grill was clean and ready to use. We stayed here for Thanksgiving and never went out to dinner.. We had the best few on the island. Beds were very comfortable and every room had its own bathroom.

Our entire family loved this home. The location and beach access were truly amazing. Being able to literally walk out your door right onto the sand and onto your mostly private beach is truly what a vacation should be.
The home itself was spotless clean and any possible need was provided for from kitchen and cooking supplies to beach and water games and necessities.
Out family of 12 never felt cramped or "too close" at any time. There are multiple areas to either congregate or separate into groups at your choosing.
Our family looks forward to a return trip one day.

This place was great. We had 13 guys for a reunion trip. There was plenty of space for all of us. We enjoyed being able to go back and forth from the house to the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. We would all stay here again.

Our vacation was amazing and the house had a lot to do with it. It beautiful, comfortable, full of amazing amenities (we got LOTS of use of those boogie boards and beach chairs) there was nothing more we could have asked for. Steven and Mitchell were available to answer any questions and make check in a breeze. We loved this trip and this home and plan to be back

For a pandemic Thanksgiving getaway, it was perfect -- we just had a terrific time staying in this beautiful home. They have all the beach gear you could possibly need; an incredible, well-equipped kitchen for the two cooks on our trip; and steps to a spectacular long stretch of beach. It was too rough for kayaks, but otherwise the ocean was warm and inviting and the beach is made for long walks. Its a big house with lots of outside spaces for gathering, or separating. And the tennis court at the end of the street was a great bonus. The town of Kailua is charming and we wish we were still there! Staff at the rental company were super easy to connect with and accommodating, answering all of our covid travel questions with the latest updates.

This home was the perfect place to host our family of 14. The home was large enough that it never felt crowded and everyone had plenty of space to mingle and relax.

There was also a ton to do. The toodlers loved all the beach toys and spending all day at the beach. The teenagers liked using the basketall and tennis courts. While the adults enjoyed bbq'ing in the courtyard and dining outdoors.

The home was stocked with everything we needed and more. All our family fell in love with the home and we can't wait to visit again in the future!

This beachfront house was a perfect spot for our large family. The house itself was beautiful and clean. The location on Kailua beach was perfect, the kids boogie boarded all day in the waves. There is plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby.

This was a phenomenal vacation. The amenities and care that went into preparing the house was fantastic. All the people from the rental management company were are professional and accessible. The only downside was that some of the appliances would leak and might need some updating (e.g., fridge condensation making the floor slippery, toilets clogging, etc). All that said, we were really appreciative of our time there and grateful for the incredible location.
